Novotel Hamilton Tainui is a 4.5 star, 217 room hotel located on the bank of the Waikato River in central Hamilton. In 2020, TGH completed an award winning 40-room extension incorporating distinctive iwi designs in the Accor-operated hotel.
With recently refreshed conference facilities, the hotel has a strong sustainability focus to its operations and is Planet 21 certified.
The distinctive exterior of the hotel's extension is based on the migration of the tuna (eels) and the importance they hold to Waikato-Tainui as a consistent food source. The pattern was developed by the head carver for Waikato-Tainui, Renata Te Wiata.
